What to expect at the time of your collection?
Next, once your appointment has been confirmed. One of our collectors assigned to your case will contact on the day of your appointment before they arrive to confirm your appointment.
Once the collectors arrives at your home he or she will prep and begin to collect your samples. First step will be to complete and sing the chain of custody form. After the each person’s DNA samples have been collected, photos of each person will been taken and the chain of custody form has completed and signed. The collector will place all of the contents in a prepaid envelope that will be shipped to a partner AABB Accredited DNA Parentage Laboratory to be tested and analyzed. It should be noted that all collectors are required to wear facemasks and/or a face shield.
What will I need to provide the Mobile Collector when he arrives at my home?
Standard protocol for DNA sample collections is that the all participants over the age of 18 will be required to have their state issued identification present. In addition, New York State residents are required to have one of three instruments at the time of their appointment, 1. court order 2. NYS Doctor’s prescription referral 3. NYS Family Law Attorney.
